What is Checkeo and how does it work?

Why another Geocaching© solution checker?

There are already many Geocaching© solution checkers available.

However, after several years of practice, the creators of Checkeo noticed that several useful features were still missing.
For example, Checkeo allows step-by-step validation of multi-caches, without calculations, or the possibility of modifying the final information of a checker without impacting the players who have already solved it.
In addition, players can instantly access final cache information for solved checkers, resume unfinished checkers exactly where they left off, and more.

Checkeo was designed to be simple, efficient and feature-rich, while remaining easy to use.

Is Checkeo a Groundspeak partner?

Checkeo is not currently an official partner of Groundspeak, the company behind Geocaching©.
A partnership request has been submitted, but we have not yet received a response.

In practice, this prevents us from offering functionalities such as: authentication via a Geocaching© account, updating of the personal note on a cache in the event of a resolution by a checker.
We hope that our request will be accepted and that these features can be implemented in the future.

What does Checkeo not allow (yet)?

Beyond the features mentioned in the previous question, Checkeo does not allow you to export GPS information from its list of solved checkers.
There are certainly other features we could add. We'd love to hear your suggestions.

Is Checkeo free?

Checkeo is completely free to use.
Hosting and maintenance costs are offset by advertising on the site.

Why is an account necessary to use Checkeo services?

As long as authentication via a Geocaching© account is not available, a Checkeo account is necessary to save solved checkers, information on created checkers, etc.
This also helps track player activity on created checkers.
